Vegan Salsa Recipes Made Easy With Vitamix

California Vegan Salsa Recipe

Yield: 5 cups (1.2 L)
Time: 3-5 seconds

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 6 ripe roma tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 serrano chile pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in order listed and secure lid. Select VARIABLE speed #1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed to #3. Blend for 3-5 seconds or until ingredients are chopped to desired consistency. If necessary, use the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades while processing. Do not over mix or the vegan salsa will turn into a soup! Serve with tortilla chips.

Mango Vegan Salsa Recipe

Yield: 3 cups (12 servings)

  • 2 semi-ripe mangos chunked, unpeeled
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 1/2 medium red onion
  • 1 seeded jalapeno
  • 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in order listed. Secure 2 part lid. Select Variable speed #1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed #4. Run for 15 seconds or until ingredients are chopped to desired consistency. If necessary, use the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades while processing.

Vegan Salsa de Tomato Recipe

Yield: 2 cups (480 mL)
Time: 3 to 5 seconds

  • 3 (186 g) fresh tomatoes, quartered
  • 1/4 to 1 (27-110 g) medium onion, quartered
  • Up to 1/2 cup green chilies, mild or hot
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar or other sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Place all ingredients in Vita-Mix container in order listed. Secure 2-part lid. Select VARIABLE, speed #1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed to #3. Run machine for 3 to 5 seconds or until ingredients are chopped to desired consistency. If necessary, use the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades while processing. Do not over mix. Serve with tortilla chips.

Vegan Salsa Mexicano

Yield: 2 cups (480 mL)
Time: 3 to 5 seconds

  • 2 cups (480 mL) canned stewed tomatoes, no salt added
  • 4 ounces jalapeno peppers
  • 4 ounces green chilies
  • 2 tablespoons (30 mL) tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup (10 g) fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Place all ingredients in Vita-Mix container in order listed. Secure 2-part lid. Select VARIABLE, speed #1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed to #3. Run for 3 to 5 seconds or until ingredients are chopped to desired consistency. If necessary, use the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades while processing. Do not over mix. Serve with tortilla chips.

Tomatillo Vegan Salsa Recipe

Yield: 5 cups (1.2 L)
Time: 10 seconds

  • 16 (540 g) tomatillos
  • 4 (60 g) scallions
  • 2 (90 g) jalapenos, seeded
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) lime juice
  • 1 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Place all ingredients in container in order listed. Secure 2-part lid. Select VARIABLE, speed #1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed to #3. Run for 5-10 seconds or just until chopped. If necessary, use tamper to push the ingredients into the blades while processing. Do not over mix. Serve as a dip or as an accompaniment.
