I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my Vitamix. I've had it over a year and use it daily.

Never thought I'd spend the big bucks for a high end blender until my husband was going on radiation/chemotherapy for stage 4 prostate cancer. I read that most cancer patients die of starvation before the affects of cancer so I wanted my husband to have the best fighting chance. (Despite annual exams and monitoring his PSA regularly, the doctor missed his cancer.)

It turned out his chemotherapy results in weight gain instead of loss. BUT, I can't stress enough, the emotional and psychological boost of eating foods you believe to help is priceless. Watching him savor his food like it was expensive caviar brought tears to my eyes.
